James Boice followed Donald Grey Barnhouse as pastor of the historic Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia.

He served as the chairman of the International Council on Biblical Inerrancy from 1977 to 1988 and is a founding member of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals.

Dr. Boice received the Doctor of Theology degree from the University of Basel and is the author of numerous biblical and theological studies.
